La fiducia è l’indicatore per individuare e misurare la qualità della crisi. La fiducia è la condizione strutturale dell’autorità. La fiducia può essere intesa secondo cinque livelli. A partire dalla fiducia si possono delineare le caratteristiche della responsabilità e dell’autorità. Oggi si vanno affermando sedicenti autorità, irresponsabili e arbitrarie, fra le quali la cosiddetta autorità delle procedure, forme derivate dall’illuminismo come ragione impersonale e astratta e dalla razionalità tecno-scientifica, come procedura classificatoria e calcolante. Queste forme di autorità, sono il vero invisibile pericolo del mondo contemporaneo.

The contemporary crisis is a radical crisis. It is a crisis of trust. The crisis of trust is a crisis of authority and responsibility. Trust is structural condition of the authority. Trust can be understood according to five levels: the levels of freedom, gift, expectation, need and the sowing of the conditions. Today, irresponsible and arbitrary forms of authority are imposing themselves, including the so-called authorities of procedures; forms derived both from the Enlightenment and from the techno-scientific rationality. Since these forms of authority are binding regardless of any trust, they are not authorities, in fact they are the real, invisible danger of the contemporary world.
