Prendendo le mosse dall'umiltà con cui Dio si è manifestato nell'economia salvifica, il saggio mostra come il risalimento alle relazioni intratrinitarie offra la possibilità di affermare che l'umiltà caratterizza l'essere stesso di Dio. Si tratta di un aspetto che costituisce un autentico Vangelo all'interno della cultura attuale. L'annuncio del Dio umile mostra, infatti, che Dio è capace di fare spazio all'altro da sé dell'uomo, nella sua autonomia; rappresentando, al tempo stesso, la garanzia che tale autonomia dell'umano non si autodistrugga, interpretandosi in termini di indipendenza assoluta.

Building on the humility with which God manifested himself in the salvific economy, this essay shows how going back to the intratrinitarian relationships allows us to affirm that humility characterizes the very being of God. This aspect constitutes a veritable Gospel inside our culture. The news of a humble God show that God is able to allow the existence of the other then self that is man in his autonomy. At the same time it represents a guarantee that human autonomy will not self-destruct, construing itself as absolute independence.
