The paper presents a parallel reading of
Civilized Man’s Eight Deadly Sins by K. Lorenz, and
the seventh chapter of The Crucified God: The Cross of Christ
as the Foundation and Criticism of Christian Theology by
J. Moltmann. The work in particular tries to underline how
the two great thinkers, in describing the risks now threatening
the future of mankind, arrive at an identical conclusion,
even if they come from completely different scientific backgrounds
and they follow quite independent ways. It is important
to point out, however, that this confluence of different
cultural courses must not be seen as a chance fact or a
scientific oddity, but has to be understood as a natural
consequence of the particular way of considering the role
and the rules of scientific research. |
