Il sacro è oggi al centro di una vicenda paradossale, che riguarda gli opposti versanti del punto di vista credente e del punto di vista secolarizzato. Il punto di vista secolarizzato espelle dal suo perimetro il sacro, considerandolo una forma attardata e retriva; il punto di vista credente tende ad espellere dal proprio perimetro il sacro, considerandolo pertinente a un mondo magico-religioso da superare. C’è da domandarsi se rimanga un margine di legittimità topologica al sacro. L’analisi mette allo scoperto tre costellazioni emozionali: la paura, la colpa, il dono. In questa luce vengono esaminate alcune figure del nostro tempo, che ne costituiscono una possibile grammatica speculativa (il terrorista-suicida, il migrante, il cosmonauta, lo hikikomori) e vengono problematizzate sia la questione dei diritti umani che le teorie del potere sovrano. Emergono a specchio le figure del sacro e della dignità, profilabili come due nomi dell’inviolabile. Il sacro sembra l’ultima custodia dell’umano nella sua forma oscura. Esso emerge non in forma puramente logica, ma fenomenologica: in modalità fenomenologico-esistenziale.

The ‘sacred’ is today at the centre of a paradox, between the opposing stances of the ‘believing point of view’ and the ‘secularized point of view’. On the one hand, the secularized point of view expels the sacred from its perimeter considering it antiquated and retrospective; on the other, the believing point of view tends to expel the sacred from its perimeter, considering it as belonging to a magical-religious world to be overcome. Thus, the question of whether the sacred is still endowed with some topological legitimacy arises. The analysis exposes three emotional constellations: fear, guilt, and the gift. It is in this perspective that some symbols (the suicide-terrorist, the migrant, the cosmonaut, the hikikomori) that constitute a possible speculative grammar of our time are examined, and both the issue of human rights and the theories of sovereign power are brought up. The concepts of the sacred and of dignity emerge like mirror images, like two names of the inviolable. The sacred seems to be the last case of the human in its dark form. It emerges not in a purely logical but rather in a phenomenological form, in a phenomenological-existential mode.
