La cultura ebraica si sviluppa sin dal suo testo scritto fondante su direttrici di pensiero aperto. Il testo della Torah, infatti, si costruisce e interagisce imprescindibilmente con i commenti che genera, dando riprova della qualità dialogica e relativistica della cultura ebraica. Un campione d’analisi chiave della speculazione e della interrogazione ebraiche, la ‘akedat Itzchak, il cosiddetto ‘sacrificio di Isacco’, consente di verificare allora la qualità imperativamente dialogica e relativa della risposta ebraica agli interrogativi del testo, che attiva un dialogo aperto e instabile, attraverso lo spazio e il tempo, per risposte sempre aggiuntive, mai sostitutive, o necessarie, e mai definitive.

The nature of the Torah, the founding written text of Jewish culture, is in line with open thought premises. An analysis of the way the Torah constructs itself and interacts with the comments it produces, gives evidence of the dialogic, relativistic nature of Jewish culture. The ‘akedat Itzchak, the so-called ‘sacrifice of Isaac’, a key-test of Jewish speculation, enables to verify the dialogic and relativistic quality of Jewish response to the numberless questions posed by the text. This consists in an open and unstable dialogue, taking place, through space and time, adding more and more responses, which never claim to be necessary or definitive.
