Dopo aver appreso e amato il tomismo, che interpreta la fede cristiana alla luce della filosofia greca (soprattutto aristotelica) mi sono dedicato allo studio della Bibbia, scoprendo che essa non è compatibile con quella filosofia, segnata dal principio di necessità, e va invece letta attraverso un'ermeneutica che traduca concettualmente narrazioni e simboli biblici. Al centro di questi sta l'alleanza: Dio che liberamente chiama l'uomo ad aderire – altrettanto liberamente, cioè responsabilmente - al suo disegno: farsi prossimo all'"altro" incarnando lo stesso amore divino, e diventando così degno dell'incontro finale con lui.

After having learned and loved Thomism and its interpretation of Christian faith in the light of Greek philosophy (especially Aristotelian) the author devoted himself to the study of the Bible. He discovered that the Bible is not consistent with that philosophy marked by the principle of necessity, and on the contrary it must be read through ahermeneutics that may freely translate conceptually narrations and symbols. At the center of these there is the Alliance: God freely calls man to agree – equally freely, that is to say responsibly – to His project: approaching the "other", embodying the same divine love and thus becoming worthy of the final meeting with Him.
