Concerning the cohabitation between animals
and men on the earth, an excessive anthropocentrism and
an a-cosmic position mark the theological reflection in
the Catholic Church. Orthodox Christianity, on the contrary,
does not work out an absolute anthropocentrism nor does
it impoverish the dignity of creatures. Man collaborates
with the Gospel that God addresses to all creation. The
paper revisits this perspective and tries to point out some
possible implications through the analysis of the creation’s
theology by Olivier Clement.
